Can you park it over some cardboard in a garage or anything? Check for leaks on the oil pan. Any problems with your MPG? You can check for things like water in the gas tank, maybe need a new fuel filter. Mine was doing something similar, smoked only when i'd get on the gas, and when vtec kicked in. Turned out to be water in the fuel (and water in the oil, and power steering, and God knows where else).

I guess your next course of action would have to be a compression/leak down test to pinpoint the problem

well, i have an ls/vtec engine and it smokes alot too. It is a completely different engine but I have a feeling its your egr valve. it may be putting oil in your intake manifold and making it go down into the block and come out the exhaust. Check your throttle body for oil first or you can take off the head to look inside.

Yeah, since we all know that EM1s have EGR valves.

You can sell me the car ... haha, How bout valve seals? You can lose oil through those which can be burned, and more noticeable when the valve train is moving alot more rapidly...
