People can tell you what they paid all day and that wont help you.

1. The markets are incredibly different depending where you are.
2. The actually car's condition is #1 in pricing
3. What's it worth to you?

My brother bought a 1991 Civic HB Si, No rust but faded paint, stock d16 w/156K, tokiico blues, and a couple other small aftermarket options, and a CLEAN interior for $2500.
Then the TB snapped and he had a $2500 paper weight (and it's STILL sitting there)

Think wisely my friend, and spend what the cars worth to you.
I'd drop $10K on a CRX if I felt it was worth it.

I just managed to pick up a original-owner 88 hf for $600, but IMO it all comes down to who you buy from. You'll always pay more from somebody that knows what their selling, and what the "street value" of the car is.

I found a couple of good si's, 88-91, At a junk yard, body was still in tact, hood, no seats, dash partially missing, peices, engine still in tact minus some hoses, hatch was still on it, stick, speed-o-meter reads 178k miles, the guys at the junk yard wanted only 300 for it, rolling chasis, brakes, and wheels still there...that one was a 89 civic si hatch stk....300 bucks, not bad at all, sun valley, california...could just do a build up as i planned...thanks, i was just getting some ruff estimates, cuz there are lots of people selling them for like 2500-3000 on the net and auto trader and on the streets near me, so i was just getting a rough estimate, thanks for the input..

Yea i think in a week or two i'll go and pick up a dx chasis from the junk yard and just reduild the engine, i'm just waiting for two weeks worth of overtime pay.

but i really want the si, but not gonna make me any difference cuz the one that's an si the engine is stripped, bare *** naked!

what to do, what to do!

how do these cars run on 200k+ miles, cuz i've seen alot with lots of miles, and they drive as good as u wouldn't expect!

anyone here having problem with the cars engine cuz of high milage and wearing and tearing?

how bout freeway driving in L.A., is it ok on freeway with high miles.
