Leaking oil from dizzy HELP!!!!

Default Leaking oil from dizzy HELP!!!!

I replaced the O ring and still leaks WTF any help would b appreciated

i had the same problem last month. the honda dealership said there is a seal in the dizzy that cant be serviced. im not sure if this is true.i just bought a used one from a friend and no more leak. leaks suck!

check the valve cover gasket (put copper seal on the edges right before the bump for the cam) and make sure that cap where the top bolt of the dizzy goes is torqued to spec onto the head

maybe it is the cam seal, is there a cam seal rt by the dizzy?

there is a brass bushing/seal on the dizzy shaft. you need to buy a rebuilt dizzy and swap over the internals.

i tired looking for rebuld kits, no luck.

well take it back for warranty IMO. otherwise clean up the insides and run it for a bit to see where the oil is coming from

mine also looked as if it was coming from the dizzy. how could you say it might be the cam seal when the vtec solenoid is right there also. do what you want i say you spend 16 bucks and replace the vtec solenoid gasket first. its a good thing to replace that anyway. try that first if the leakage presists then by all means do the cam seal. imo do the easy things first and then the more complicated

3 main things to cause oil leakage in that area
cam seal
dizzy o ring
vtec solenoid good luck
