alternator removal
ok so my alternator took a **** in my b16 crx, when this happened in my hatch there was no where to get it out, so i had to take the brake master cylinder off to get the thing out. is there any easier way to do this that anyone knows of? ij ust dont feel like takin that off.
Well with a d series you just had to turni it right and drop it past the axles, with my LS in I have an OBD1 94-95 intake mani and I could acctually pull it up though with a little work, I'd say the most common way is to pull the axle and drop it down, thats what you have to do on 90-93 tegs, just unoblt the lower control arm from the frame, unbolt the sway bar from the control arm and then pull the axle out of the mid shaft, I forget but you may need to unbolt the shock fork too but I don't think so, HTH
i gues ill see when i get over there, its already just sittin in there just needs to be pulled out from somewhere, i think the easiest would be to just pull the master cylinder off.
are you sure thats easier? you would probably have to bleed the system again unless u bend the tubes. Try the axle, thats how I got mine out. I had to put pressure on the suspension so i could drop it out and put it in.

I didn't have to remove my axle to drop mine out. I just had to take the lca off the ball joint, remove the bolt in the lca that connects the shock and i was able to take it off.
i got it out by moving the master cylinder a little, didnt have to totaly take it off, it was a pain in hte *** but now its all good
