Default 91 4door automatic (dpfi -> mpfi)+(d16a6 motor only) swap questions

Well first of all I would like to say that I have searched and researched the information on how to do the dpfi -> mpfi swap. My concern now is that I want to keep my automatic trannny. I'm planning on using a PR4 automatic ecu from an integra. The question is will I have to do anything special because it is an automatic? Do I need to worry about wires for the auto tranny? Will the PR4 automatic ECU work for my auto tranny? Will the throttle cables work?

You could get a PS9 ECU from a 90-91 Civic EX 4dr. They had the MPFI Si motor with an automatic tranny.

im running a pg7 standard tranny ecu on my auto mpfi d16a6.

so you can use a standard trans ecu, only catch is there is no way to hook up the lock up torque converter (not a big deal only locks up the converter to save gas at high way speeds) everything else works great.

however, hooking up the kick down cable is tricky make sure its perfect or the trans will up shift early at full throttle and downshift really really hard all the time. i ended up having to custom make my own cable that hooks up to the kick down lever then goes though the fire wall and hooks to the gas pedal.
difference in right and wrong is 9.87 to 10.23 in the 1/8th mile

you may even try the pr4 just to see if it works.

that's great I also have a standard PG7 ecu that I can use if the PR4 doesn't work... as far as mpfi swap goes do I need extra wires for the auto trans?

no the obd0 auto trans shifts are not controlled electronicly. therefore the the only wire that goes to the trans is the torque converter lock up.
