Default decided to go b-series

my original plan was to get a zc but when i went to get it installed they gave me a deal on a b16 that i couldnt give up. the question right now is should i go with or with out the lsd($300)? keep in mind that my pockets are tight, but then again i have a b-series turbo at home already that i will install after i build up my internals. it would be great for any input you guys have.

go boosted dohc zc. my friend had a boosted zc in his 89 hatch. it ran 12.55@7.5psi with no other mods but tein basic damper an shitty 205/40/16 hankook ventus hrII. b16 is wasting ur money.

HAHAHHA OMG That's hilarious! B16 is a waste of money, a rare on the way out motor that no parts are swapable with and the aftermarket support isn't there is the way to go, waste your money on a weak, non vtec engine!!!

Now, get the LSD cause you will also have the short geared LSD B series, one of the best trannies for drag. Not necessarily turbo, cause you will spin thru 1st and 2nd. Also, keep the B16 head and slap it on an B18 block in the long run. More power and torque in the long run.

*counts how many times people typed 'in the long run' in this thread.

i say get the lsd, you wont regret it at all, and if you dont, you'll wish you did.

plus, if you ever sell it, you'll get more buyers because it is a better trans.

when you say "lsd optional +$300" im assuming you mean the package from hmotors?

now im just going to guess that this limited slip for an extra $300 has to be a phantom grip. which in my opinion sucks *****

I would say f the d series, get a b16 without the phantom grip lsd, turbo it and get a quaife limited slip. quaife maybe like $900 but its a lot better than phantom

but me personally, id do the ls turbo with a b16 tranny, but thats really not what this post is about. so ya... in ur situation, id do the b16 turbo

Lol, irrelevant, and he already said he's going b16 and he said he already has a turbo at the house. That wasn't the question.

yea i already put $1000 down for my $2000 swap, and yea i already have a greddy b series turbo at home, oh yea and no its not coming from hmo its from jpr.

how much do you guys think it would cost if i got it later on, or is 300 a really good deal?

you mean he was boosting on stock internals? sounds great and all but i want to boost the right way, and if im going to spend lots of money on internals i rather put it on a motor that has more aftermarket parts.

Yeah, I would say go with the lsd since you have a turbo setup going on down the road. You'll be able to put that power to the wheels with the lsd.
