The diff is that the tip has a rolled edge and it is made out of stainless steel while the older model isn't.

To further clarify, the piping is stainless steel on the SP2, whereas the SP1 was powdercoated or something. All I remember is that it would peel like Goldmember's skin.

Does it peel off real easy? Once it heats up? Or after a few weeks

is it worth getting?

over quite some time i could peel, but i don't think it'll peel in that short period of time.

as for worth getting, i have one on my sol, and i like it. not loud enough to get a cops attention. but there are some stories of the muffler packing coming out. hasn't happen to me yet, and its been a good 5 years.

On mine, the back of the muffler by the inlet axleback piping as well as the axleback piping itself was peeling. I don't remember if the rest of the pipe was peeling or not.

Those stories are true, which is why I got rid of mine 3 1/2 half years after installation. My brother had the same thing happen after like 5 years. A friend of mine had the earlier Trust exhaust with the black SP style muffler and stainless tip...his muffler packing came out after awhile. It's the welds inside the muffler that break, causing the fiberglass cubes and steel wool to come out.

The SP2 is still a fairly new product, so I haven't heard any stories of the newer exhausts busting at the welds.

Usually its aluminized steel when they are too cheap to do stainless.

For which one, the SP1 or SP2? Are they brand new? If so, then that's a good price for either of them.
