keepin' it real.

VP import is an oxygenated fuel. It is a heavier fuel with a higher specific gravity and is more suited for forced induction motors. Cost about $20 gallon.
C16 has a lower specific gravity than the VPI but is still a bit heavy for NA and is more suited for nitrous and forced induction. Cost about $11-15 gallon
C14 and C14+ are much lower specific gravity and more suited for NA setups.
I run c16 in my turbo car and c14+ in my wifes all motor car.

Get to know your local VP rep.VP has dozens of blends. We are lucky around here to have a very informed and active rep.I've dyno tested hundreds of gallons of vp fuels (five gallons at a time) for little or no charge on engine dyno's over the years.
I don't think in the unrestricted engine world chasing HP with gas is worth much.Reliability and repeatability is worth a lot per gallon.
Most of my testing was rules restricted engines were you could make more power with fuel, often at the cost of $25 to $50 a gallon. But sometimes the $5 agallon was best.

ive used vp110 for 630hp FI setups, it worked perfect. c16 if i can get a hold of it. but i pay usually 8$ a gallon for c16, 9.50 TOPS. I buy barrels of sunoco leaded 110 and 112 for race use usually because its affordable and carries the power just as well.
i was pumping some 93 at my local sunoco..said something along the lines of this:
the fuel being pumped into your car is oxygenated, soemthing about how it produces less cabon deoxide.
is this normal? better? worse? they still have kerosene in there race gas tank ...

Most states are adding ethenol and other additives now.The ethenol will help maintain the octane rating but will lean it out a little.

i have seen some inconsistency with some of the vp fuels from barrel to barrel i hate how the sunoco fuels burn playing with torco fuels right know seems to be good stuff
we use mainly C16 in our street cars and turbo cars.
The VP Import has had great results, but for $20/gal, its just way too much to keep using.
We have some cars on Methanol as well, havent tried out other Methanol brands, but no issues with VP methanol so far.
All Motor, we stock mainly C14+ for the all motor guys, but we have some customers that we stock C19 for in special batches.
