Default unricing painted plastic panels

so the guy who i bought my car from had decided he'd be supa fly P.I.M.P. if he painted the a-pillar plastics white! because apparntly black was not asthetically pleasing to him, well i have had the car for a while, and the panels really started to **** me off, if you cant tell, and i decided to return them to black. so far i spent an hour in the garage, but there is little progress. only chunks of paint come off but there is still an insane amount of little white areas that do not come out!!! i have been using a heat gun(bad idea because it causes the panel to loose texture if you get it too hot) paint thinner and a dull plastic thing to scrape off the paint. Well i am definatly restless now and dont think that paint thinner and my plastic tool will work. Do you guys have any advise on how to take this crap off, or can i just spray it black over the white, or will that not look right???

basicaly your sol to get it back to looking 100% perfect stock. Here what I suggest 1st try a air blower on your air compressor if you have one and try to blow the old paint off. Hopefully it flakes off. If he actualy did "prep" the panel before he riced it then Id suggest using a 3m Gray Scotch Pad with some final sand on it. This should be rough enough to get paint off but still leav the texture on it. You can get the Grey Pad and Final Sand at a Auto Motive Paint store. DO NOT USE GREEN Dishwashing Scotch pad. Its too rough. If you dont want to spend $10 on a tube of final sand Powdered Comet will work. Good Luck

your going to have to semi gloss it or replace them. If you primer it first it should rub off too easy

Sand them with 400 grit sand paper, prime them, and then use some Duplicolor trim paint... Would be good as new...

Leave them sit in a bowl of brake cleaner overnight then rub it off. Works like a charm!

Are you talking about the door sashes? If so I would just buy some new ones from your local dealership. About 25$ a piece.
