Bad Valves???
I did a b16a swap in my 90 CRX DX that is running really rich and I have changed and tested everything. The only thing left for me to do is to change the valves. Is there any way to test them before taking my car apart. I really dont have to have to do this if I dont have to.
Why would you change the valves if your car is running rich? There's a bunch of stuff to check for to correct that problem. ie: fuel system, bad sensors, etc...
How hard is it to pull the head and check the valves? Ok my problem is that the car is running rich. And blowing black smoke out the exhaust, and coating the back of my car with a coating of black unburned fuel. I brought it to different mechanics and they couldnt figure it out. They changed the O2 sensors, injectors and timing belt. Tested fuel pressure, and sensors. I am running out of options and I need to take the car on a 5 hour trip saturday next weeek and I dont think I'm gonna be able to. Any thing below 4000 rpm the car is bogging out and if I let it idle it almost dies. I just cant think of anything else. Can you?
Its a 90 CRX DX with a b16a swap I have a chipped PR3 and a virgin PW0 ecus. I dont know the fuel pressure, and its not tuned. Now there is a valve knock and now I'm thinking that maybe I just need to check and see if my valves need to be tightened?
