car vibration
I have a honda accord 97, v4 non vtec, When not in gear, the car is smooth and not vibrating but when put in gear without moving, the car vibrates a little bit and when in gear running, the car vibrates and the steering wheel moves left and right in short distances. Where should i start looking when attempt fixing this vibration. Anything helps
It is an auto. I would think that it is the mount. I want to replace the transmission mount first but the vibrating of steering wheel moving left and right make me worries that it's is not just the mount that causes the vibration. The guys at auto parts suggest might be the axel causing the steering wheel to move left and right. should I just change the mount first to see if it getting better or should i take it out to the shop for diagostic? And would I change transmission mounts or engine mounts cuz there is no vibration when it is not in gear.
thanks
thanks
Its late and Im tired but did you put v4 in your car description? SLAAAP!!!!!
I believe its da motor mounts. Ford Escort ZX-2s do the same thing. I hate that!!! By da way the whole steering wheel shake, is that when you driving or sitting still. If you sitting still and you think thats your axle........SLAAAP!!!!!!
