Please help with brakes!
I have a 94 civic vx and just redid the brakes. I put in new SS lines, rotors, and pads. I have bled both front lines. I have a serious problem. When the car is off i can build brake pressure. When i turn the car on the brake goes all the way to the floor. The e-brake works. I have tried rolling and the brake works, just VERY faintly. It would not stop me if i was going anything over 5 MPH. My reservoir was completly empty when i finished. Do i need to bleed the back brakes as well? They are drums in the back. If i do need to do this, can someone tell me how? Thanks!
If you let the reservoir run dry, then you sucked air into the system from the top. You're going to have to bleed all 4 channels now. You're going to need to flush a lot of fluid through the system to push the air all the way through and out.
Thanks for the help! I did just that, and the new brakes are great. New (related) question. I had my car in the air for about 8 hours on jack stands in the front. My car now makes a horrid squeaking noise when i go around corners and there is a bump. It seems to only be in the front. any ideas on what that is and how to fix it? I didnt mess with the suspension at all.
