ticking sound at start up?
When i go tyo start my car, i hear a ticking sound and then starts right up, its drives fine, no more ticking sound after start up!
what can it be?
what can it be?
My guess would be the starter solenoid is dying.
AFAIK the solenoids can't be replaced in Hondas unless you pull the starter & rebuild it. So that means you (probably) need a new starter.
If you stick the key in, turn to accessory, let the fuel pump prime, turn to ignition, it clicks several times, then the clicking stops and the engine turns over... that's the starter solenoid.

there's no telling. in the standard denso design (solenoid spins touching two contacts on each side) you can EASILY rebuilt these by getting new contacts, rebolting them internally in the starter, and lightly sanding off any corrosion on the bottom lip of the solenoid.
also, this is a $30 dollar repair compared to $200+ replacing a starter.

Just drive it till the starter dies. You can always push start you car... assuming it's a manual.
Get it rolling and dump the clutch in 1st... should start right up without a starter. Or if it's easier to roll it backwards put it in reverse.

In my experience it's rather unusual that you're hearing it both click and then start - normally it goes straight from working fine to just clicking and not starting at all. So hey, consider yourself lucky to have had a nice grace period.
