no, you dont have to tear apart the suspension....
if you are currently working on it, take a look for yourself.

even if you do, you can probably remove the front suspension faster than it takes most of us to post a response.

good luck.

You just need to seperate the lower ball joint and pop the axles out of the tranny.

Yes, you can leave the axles in the hub... When I went to do my swap I a snapped a lug nut (damn Gorilla locking nuts) and couldnt get my wheel off, so I just dropped it from the tranny... As said above, youll have to atleast remove the lower castle nut on the lower ball joint to give you enough room, but its doable... BTW, taking off the upper ball joint alone wouldnt help very much, since with the lower control arm still in place, you wont be able to move the hub the way youll need too, to remove the axle...

Yea, the lower ball joint... No you wont need an alignment... Not unless you mess with the tie rods...

I always just, take the axle nut off, take the axle out of the hub then pop it out of the tranmission. Takes about 15 minutes. You will have to remove the damper fork to remove teh axle. It is held on by a 17mm bolt/nut on the lca and a 12mm(maybe 14mm...been a while since I messed with that one) pinch bolt on the shock body.

edit: yea, I forgot abt the lower ball joint. Dont touch teh upper ball joint. Thats useless **** there.

I use pennzoil synchromesh from autozone. I dont use anythign else. It cured my 3rd gear grind At least for the time being.
