No, they're junk, check out http://www.gassavers.org for some things that will actually increase your gas mileage.

They're both bullshitting you. I swear, sign up on that site, you'll learn some ****. One guy is getting 65 mpg on his nearly stock del sol S.

A lot of things, like aero mods, will help with speed too, so don't discount the worth in mpg mods...

So im seeing yes, and no's... what is it? haha. My buddy put 2 on his car, he says and i quote "when gas was like 3 a gallon, it costed me $10 to go to and from chico; with 1 magnet it was approx $7, with 2 + a gas hike it was $5" so is the only true way to find out by me testing my self?

Well, that's about the worst testing ever. Test yourself, yes, but verify your test on gassavers (I saw you just signed up). I've tested them to no avail but my test wasn't so good (10x better than your friend's).

In any case, the science behind them sucks too.

They're just perverted the meaning of "rare earth magnet" or whatev they're called, but I don't think that meaning is what it is made to sound like in the advertising. In any case, gas isn't magnetic and doesn't contain magnetic particles, so what the hell are magnets going to do...
