Default Is it suppose to be like this? b16 to dx rex

Throttle cable and clutch cable both are not the correct length, if this is true and anyone can help me please do

also the down pipe wont hook directly up to the muffer? also on the harness that came with the b16 has an extra harness that i cant find a plug for it has 6 wires going to it and it runs to the harness that goes to the ecu on the passenger side?

use the stock clutch cable and a 90-93 integra throttle cable. Your dx rex does not have a 2nd o2 sensor, vtec pressure switch, solenoid, or knock sensor. you have to add them. and you can't use the jdm harness because it came from a rhd (right hand drive) car.

I just purchased a b16a with a full harness it already has the 2nd o2, vtec pressure and solnoid and well as the knock, I have already wired them into my ecu that also came with the engine, what I am asking is where do i connect the wires i connected for these into the engine bay, if i am not wrong the solnoid is right in front of the distributor and is a green wire, and the pressure is a blue/black and a ground with a green plug right below that, so i just need to know where the 2nd o2 and knock sensors are in the bay

2nd o2 sensor is right next to the 1st o2 sensor, on the exhaust manifold. green plug:

the knock sensor is on the back of the block right here:

I like when people use pictures thanks that solves everything for the b16 wiring, now for the rest lol. Is the downpipe on the b16A suppose to line up with the exhaust on the dx also I didnt get a pin for the shift linkage with the swap so i took it off my DX motor. Where the pin goes into the linkage when connecting it to the tranny will the DX pin slide right in or is it to big or does it have to be tapped in?

the exhuast wont line up. take it to a exhuast shop or do what i did. go to an autoparts store and pick up a small section of 2" pipe and clamps. cut the exhuast to match it up to the exhuast manifold and install the pipe with the clamps. not the best option, but will work. make sure you tighten those clamps down good. mine aactually fell apart at the track yesterday, about 300ft down the strip. if you think a b16 is loud, try it with nothing behind the catalytic converter and the car stripped. I thought i was about to go deaf.

the pin should work, you might have to tap it in with a hammer. i think its the same size as your old one. if not just go to your local honda dearlership and pic one up.

Well the next question to this post would be, how do i go about moding the clutch cable to fit onto my b16 is there a way i can get more slack out of the cable or do i need to something where it connects? I got the whole engine in the bay and connected, just trying to work on the little things now

the clutch cable should fit fine. if it wont fit in the stock routing then run it underneath the intake manifold.

With my LS swap i used the stock clutch cable it is adjusted towards the top of the thread (away from where it hooks to the tranny) seems to work fine, could you have messed the cable up when you pulled/put it the motor?

you need to loosen the plastic adjustem nut all the way up, hoook the cable on the clutch release lever and then pull up really hard to the point where your pulling the clutch in and slide the cable through the braket on the tranny where these a slot. its not going to just slip right in.

I actually disconnected the throttle and clutch cable and threw them up over my driver side mirror so they would be out of the way when i pulled it up so i dont think that i have damaged them, i think what corey is saying about pulling really hard will work cuz it gets pretty close i guess i was just kinda wondering if it should just slide right in, thanks ill give it a try

there should be a bracket with two bolts going into the tranny....the cable goes thru there...if you unblot that and the hook it up at the bottom you should be able to line it back up and bolt it down...thats how i got mine to work in my 88 civic...

yep you can do it like that but i find just pulling up on it easier and faster than unbolting stuff

I went to the auto store to get a throttle cable for a 90-93 integra they didnt have any in stock and could not order it either, is this like this at most auto stores, also would any b series throttle cable work? I am just having trouble with the slack that runs from the brackets on both of the stupid cables lol

if you dont want to get a new cable and worry about pulling it through the firewall check out innovative mount's b series bracket. I havnt used it, but have a simalar thing that was rigged up using just a piece of steel.

Well I actually moved the both of the brackets around and got them to fit, I like the aftermarket bracket idea alot easier most like alot cheaper as well thanks I believe I have everything wired up correctly all I have left to do now is connect the back hoses, the cvs and shift linkage i hope :D
