Default Close ratio gear set good for d16 boost?

I was doing some thinking and I am using quite a large turbo (sc61s) on my d16y8 and wouldn't a close ratio gear set up be better for boost than my stock d16y8 gear box? Infinitude makes one for the d16 and I was wondering is it worth it? It comes with a 1.565 3rd gear and you'd use the stock 1.250 3rd gear as 4th and then it comes with the 1.000 5th gear. This would not cause the car to drop in rpms so much after shifting and keeping me in my powerband. Oh I'd use my stock 4.25 final drive as well. What do you guys think?

the SC61 is to big. seriously. how high are you gonna rev this thing? i built a B16 with an SC61 with a B16a tranny. the car does NOTHING until 5200 RPM. so i would say that even with a pretty nasty cam and alot of head work you wont see real boost till about 5700 RPM. that gives you about 1500 RPM of usable powerband, if you keep the stock rev limit, and about 2300 RPM worth of powerband if u rev to 8k. in my opinion, yes, the short ratio gearset will help, but the car will still only be good for freeway pulls, worthless on the street

I have a nice cam on its way and the head is taken care of. I will be revving to at least 8k and its not a daily driven car.
