Default advancing ignition timing

how do i advance the ignition timing on my '97 civic?
i know you have to rotate the dizzy counterclockwise to advance and clockwise to retard, but how do i get to it?
i'm n/a running 93 octane so hopefully it won't start pinging.

you need a timing light, also I would not advance it more than 2 degrees over stock.

no mark, tdc is the key slot on the crank. remember to jump the service connector under dash before you chang timing.

because thats how you do it! Its in the helms manual and in the cheapo pep boys manual. You have to jump the service connector, or else you won't be able to adjust your timing properly!!!
