Default anyone ever warped a v-band flange?

i was welding it up from the inside for a downpipe (4" SS) so there was no way to clamp the flange down. once i was all done it seemed to warp very slightly. normally id say the bolts or whatever would pull such a small amount of warping in but with a vband flange thats not an option. can you mill these flanges down and have them seal right? i know the width of the flange seems to be important for the clamp to work.

would it be possible to heat it up and clamp it to its other half to try and straighten it?

no problem with the clamp holding the flange down if its thinned out? looking back i dont see how i could have prevented this... i welded it in sections to try and spread it out but welding on the inside was the only way no not have the bead interfere with the clamp on the outside. i wasnt worried about the bead hurting flow either considering its 4" coming out of the turbine
