Default My 3 day CRX buildup (quickie)

3 days ago I saved this 88 CRX from meeting its maker. I decided to immediattly target the plain jane looks of the CRX.

First thing I targeted was the purple bubbly tint. Took about 3-4 hours to scrape off with a gasket scraper. Second area I targeted was the interior which had zillions of ciggarettes lying around. Took out both seats, console and dash and vacummed everything up. Then I steam cleaned the carpets. Thirdly I painted the stock mesh rims and kept the lip silver. Never seen these rims before, has anyone else?
Lastly I went to the junkyard and found some skunk 2 adjustable coilovers, not only that he sold them to me for 20$. Also took some time out of my busy schedule and taped up the side moldings and bumpers and painted them solid black, looks great IMO.

My next round of mods include new hood. spit shine the engine bay, find new struts for the lift up hatch and then call it quits. Tell me what you guys think.

DAY 1: heres a pic of the first day I brought it home (im the red shirt fella, you can barely make out my notchback in the background and the purple bubbly tint on the rear quarter panel window), the crx didnt even run! Had to tow it.

day 2 of ownership (notice removed tint and painted rims):

day 3 of ownership (notice full painted bumper, coilovers installed, and painted black trim *sorry, I was playing around with different camera settings*)

Ill take additional pics once I polish up the engine bay and get the seats re-stiched and installed. BTW- Car is for sale if anyone is interested, engine and tranny work great! Clean title as well

Tires look like balloons
The wheels are from 88-91 Prelude's

How much did you pay for it? Where are you located and how much do you want for it?

yes, do a photoshoot of the crx and the notchback together. must see more of them in same photos. That would be awesome haha.

Thanks guys, Im going to steam clean the interior today, purchase a new hood and clean up the engine bay. Get her ready to sell. Me and my neighbor Nate (other guy in pic) both work in paint and auto body so we make sure we do things correctly and right the first time.

For all of those who want to see more pics of my Notch, I dont really have good pics but i did make a video racing Nates Trans Am WS6 just for the fun of it. I went ahead and created it because my tranny was gone and only had 2nd gear, also had 2 spark plug wires arching so I was running on 6 cylinders....Anyway, heres the vid if anyone is interested.

everything works! struts, fuel and oil filter, battery, hood, rear hatch struts have been replaced.. all interior, also AC, just needing a charge.. painting hood black this monday..Car has already received compliments..Trust me, the owner of this car will receive a VERY clean car! There will not be a spec of dust anywhere on this car when im through with it, and the engine bay and interior will be so clean youll be able to eat out off it. Only problem is this car need some paintless dent removal as a hail storm made some tiny pings on the roof.

asking 2600

i agree, i'd keep it too.....

i may be coming into some cash in the next few weeks.... if hes serious about it, i can add another crx to my stable.
