what type of motor is this? You can try an octane booster. What type of oil are you running?

I do not think this will make much differance, but I would recommend OEM Honda plugs (NGK's). Those things are pretty much the best plugs you can use for your Honda, and I have also heard from people in other posts that Bosch plugs are pretty much ****. Also, it might not hurt to try and clean out your motor, put a little Seafoam in there, other than that, I really don't know what to do

Maybe carbon buildup on the pistons has caused a slightly raised compression ratio. I don't know about seafoam but Honda sells a good engine cleaner. Check your local dealership.

make sure timing is ok and not advanced,, if ok,,
try retarding the timing a few degrees,, 3-4 .. and test drive it,,

its a 2002 honda accord coupe....i got a f23a motor but from a 1998 honda accord.

mods are SRI, Header,Muffler tip.

i'v tried SEA FOAM.

i doubt thr piston rings are bad the motor has 35,000 miles on it.

i'm gonna call my honda dealer and pick up a set of 4 plugs and try that out.

also how do i bump the timing on my car??

Hmm why would you get rid of i-VTEC for a regular VTEC engine?
What computer are you using and how in the world did you get this thing to work????

He said 2002, not 2003. That is when the gen changed. You half asleep or something?

First thing you should do is buy a shop manual. Even a cheap one will work. It will do so much better than us trying to explain everything.
