Stripped header threads?
A few weeks back I installed a Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4-2-1 header on my 1998 Integra RS and all the bolts went on and torqued fine. Today I checked on the bolts to snug them up some and found that one of the bolts keeps spinning. Would you think that this one hole has stripped out? The bolt grips the threads part of the way in then keeps spinning. I looked at the bolt and even switched it with one of the others...it's not the bolt it's the hole. So, would some loctite help or do I need to have the hole retapped?
yeah just pul a helicoil in it. tap it out to the proper size for the coil, put some locktite on it and screw it in and your golden. you could also just retap it for a bigger bolt but then it wont match the other header bolts.
