Default Not so young newbie found new home, Ep3 Qs

Hello everybody!

I am new to this website, and wanted to say hi.
I am a former 98 Integra gs-r owner. (supersonic blue pearl) I have been without a fun car since 2000, needed a truck for work.

Last september for my 30th birthday I purchaced a 05 Ep3. I am glad to be back in a Honda. So far my mods are limited. A'pexi world sport 2 cat back and a aem short ram.

I have 2 questions right now.

1: Am I better off with a Rsx s rear sway bar for cheap or should I go with an aftermarket 22mm bar?
2: Does any body have any experience with MB wheels from discount tire? Any pics on a Ep3?

Thanks again, glad to be aboard!

Go with the JDM ITR rear sway. It's about 100 bucks and it's 22mm.

04-05 EPs have the same sway as the RSX-S. 02-03 EPs have the smaller diameter one. Going with the CTR or ITR one will be fine (22mm).

You can buy new ('06) 22mm RSX Type S rear bar for your '05 EP3 for $67.62 from Delray Acura and the two correct rubber bushings ($9.56) to mount it for a total of $77.18. $7 to ship it to your door. Factory fit. They have an Internet parts site.

wecome.

you have similar add-ons i have.

22mm rear sway, definitely. it will tuck the rear in around corners and neutralize a bit of the understeer. stay away from the progress bar. there have been interference issues with them on EP3s with some aftermarket exhausts.

What they said regarding rear sway bars ^^^

You can change out the front with several other OEM Honda bars, too. Most of them are smaller, which will increase front grip.

About the wheels -- I don't know, I haven't seen them in person or heard any experiences. I've occasionally thought of getting a set, though.

I have 02-04 Type-S front and rear sways on my '02 EP right now. Planning on going bigger in the rear, just haven't gotten around to it.

Just in case anyone's wondering, you'd also need the appropriate bushings. The brackets are the same, it's just the bushings that need to have the specific inside hole to carry the bar.

Refuse2besmart,

The pipe did hit the bottom of the car at first. It seemed to me that if the catalitic converter was approx 1/2 inch shorter is would of fit the first time. I have since done some creative modifying (cutoff wheel and hammer). I dosen't rub anymore!

I do love the way the WS2 sounds!!!!! WOOOMMAHHH!!
