Default viper 2-way alarm battery life

i have no idea what model it is, this is on a PT Cruiser (not my car). anyway, the battery life for the remote seems excessively short, like only a month or two. is this normal?! the remote has 4 buttons, the car has autostart, everything was installed by a professional shop. any ideas? thanks.

Uh NO not normal. The average battery life for those alarm remotes should be anywhere from 4-6 months. I personally have not changed the battery in my 4-button transmitter in almost a full year. There is somethin wrong with that transmitter.

Yeah about 4 months. Maybe if you play your pager like it was a gameboy or something it will only last a month.

That's why it's a AAA battery. So you can get rechargeables.

Do you have the backlight and vibrate functions enabled?

The batteries on my two-way remote (Crimestopper) went out within 2 months. Of course, it came with some wackass battery I have never heard of. Luckily, it was "AAA" size so finding a replacement was not an issue.
