Default Yes or no?

92 Civic front end on a 91 Hatch: Crazy? Tacky? I've done some eye-ballin'. Looks like it would work. But, could it? I'm really in a bind. My 91 has no front end. Had to dismantle it a year ago to fix a few problems the previous owner neglected to mention. Now that I have it on the road, I wanna clean up the exterior. Never having an appreciation for the ED's OEM face. I wanted to replace it with something a little more aerodynamic. The fenders, hood and grill from an EG had the lines that I wanted for my car. But, I'm apprehensive about starting. Any advice is welcomed.

I've seen it done before and it looked clean. But I can't believe you don't like the stock front. Have you ever seen a clean one? When you paint it all one color and slap a lip on it it really looks clean. Have you seen the jdm frontend?

I am not really sure how the rounded 92 front end would look with the rest of the straight 91 bodylines.

You have to be very skilled to put it nicely.

Thank you all for the quik response. No,I've never seen the JDM front end. I've only seen the USDM version. Cleen and painted they look like they're sticking out they're bottom lips. Just my opinion though. Thank you.

This guy did it: http://www.superhonda.com/foru...77109

I personally prefer the JDM '90-91 hatchback front end.

It's all in the attention to detail. Hopefully, I 'll be able to afford the amount of effort they put in. Alot can change in 6 months.

If anyone has a link or picture of the JDM front end, post it up. I'd like to get a look at it.

This is the '90-91 JDM hatchback front end (with some accessory fog lamps added and an OEM lip):

Conversions like that are tacky IMO... The bodylines just dont flow, no matter how hard you try... The EFs are boxy, the EGs are more rounded...

Yo! I f'ed up and got rid of my HX. Wheels and all. I was gonna swap the wheels out for the steel wheels on my ED but, ran outta time. I kick my own *** for that.

All in all. It looks as though I'll be happy any which way I choose to go. Thank you.

No problem. Please take all of our advise, though and go the JDM route. That Civic conversion looks like poop. Done well mind you, but it just doesn't look right.

If it don't belong on the car it's retarted to put it on there. EG fronts obviously should NOT be on an EF.
