hi i have 96 civic and i am running a test pipe i bought caspers o2 simulator and it is a basic plug n play thing well i plugged n it didnt play the light is blinking so it reads it but the check engine light wont go off, i disconnected the battery n tried that and it goes off for maybe 30 secs then comes back on, can anyone help me...thanks

 

run the code and see what comes up...maybe that isnt whats triggering the CEL

 

if it comes back on in 30 seconds then the 02 sim is not the problem, code P0429 catalyst ineffiecncy should come on after about 40-80 miles of driving, it sounds like the heater circuit is not properly connected

 

kinda knew to working with the electronics of this car this is the first major electric work ive done so with the heater circut how would i fix that, is it a plug and play connection or what, thanks again
