To answer your dizzy question, no it won't fit right. Plus the z6 dizzy is OBD1 and the B2 is OBD0 so it won't even plug up right.

For parts for the rebuild, and O'Reily or Autozone etc... will have what you need, especially if for just street use. Just get a gasket kit and replace all that and really that should be all you need to do. What kind of transmission does your crx have now? If it's a dx or si tranny than you might want to stick with it so you don't have to mess with a hydro/cable conversion. Or if you want an awesome tranny, go to http://www.hmotorsonline.com and get one of their ZC trannies (only $200 shipped). The ZC tranny has very aggressive tight gearing that will make it a blast to drive and will definately cost less than a hydro/cable conversion and will give you the best performance out of them all. As far as the clutch goes, you need to match the clutch disk with your transmission (count splines) and for the pressure plate you need to match with the flywheel you're using. To make it simple, use the flywheel off your stock engine so you won't have to mix match clutch parts. For the dizzy question, use the z6 dizzy and just get the little conversion adapter from http://www.xenocron.com or http://www.rywire.com. I think that just about covers it. What ecu do you plan on using?? Because if you plan on using a p28 (obd1 vtec ecu) which you'll need in order to make the z6 run properly you'll also need an ECU OBD conversion harness (obd0-obd1). Both websites I mentioned previously sell these as well. And you'll also need a 4 wire o2 sensor (the ecu conv. harness will come with a wiring tail to wire up the 4 wire o2 sensor). Once you do all that you're good to go. Any questions??

This is basically what I just did a few months ago.

I bought an old tired d16z6 swap with tranny and harness from a 92 Si.

Then I sold the hydro tranny and picked up an Si cable tranny. (sold the hydro for $150, picked up the cable for $70 woot!!)

I completely rebuilt the d16z6 because I was unsure of the history and from the initial teardown it looked like it could really use one.

I had the block hot tanked, decked, and honed, and I had the head pressure tested, milled, and the valve stem seals replaced.

Then I reassembled the engine with new rings, bearings, a new oil pump, water pump, and all new gaskets and seals.

I wanted the engine to last another 100k and be able to withstand the abuse of weekend autocross events on a regular basis.

Anyways, I won't go into all the details of my rebuild, but it was pretty straight forward and the engine runs excellent. It has about 6000 miles on it so far and 4 autocross events without any problems.

I got all the info I needed for the rebuild and conversions from DPFI to MPFI and from OBD0 to OBD1 on here. I didn't have any help and did it all by myself with nothing but Honda-Tech! You can do it too!

I bought my parts from a number of places. I got most of the stuff from the warehouse where I work (Performance Warehouse), we carry a number of brands that are OE quality or better. I also bought some of the parts from the Honda dealership.

If the timing belt broke while the engine was spinning chances are there is some damage to the valves and/or the pistons, but you won't know until you take it apart. Make sure to have the head inspected by a machine shop that you trust.

Good luck! It's a good learning experience! I know I had a ton of fun learning how to rebuild my engine and I have a sense of pride now knowing that I rebuilt my engine myself.
