Will this setup work and bolt right in or will I have to get new axles? I am putting in a 5 gen Civic Si motor into a 4 gen Civic hatch. I know I can use the 4G tranny, but it only has 4 gears. If I bolt on a 2 gen Integra tranny however I get better gearing and 5 speeds, but was wondering if I have to modify the axles or use first gen Integra axles????? Any help would be appreciated.

 

no your an idiot a dohc tranny will not work on a sohc motor get a cable si sohc tranny

Stick with the 5 gen Si motor/4 gen Si tranny. Cool.

Since the bell housing is also half of the transmission case, the answer is no. Try a B16 swap instead.

Here is what I got! 5 gen civic Si complete motor and cable si CRX tranny for $400

What axles do I use?

 

get 4thgen Si axles, do not use DX or HF's they have smaller splines
