Default 2003-2005 OEM Headlight housings EXACT same as 2006 Accord?

I picked up a 2006 Accord LX yesterday. After seeing some of the retro's on HIDplanet I am sold to have them on my ride

I want to grab a spare set of headlights for my 2006. Will 2003-2005 Accord headlights work on a 2006 sedan? Are the coupe and sedan headlights the EXACT same as well?

There are quite a few 2003-2005 housings on ebay. I hope they fit

Thanks for any input

I don't think they are any different, but I'm not certain. The only difference from 05 to 06 is the rear end, and I believe the overall length is somewhat shorter and the v6 came with a 6spd option, besides that I don't think there is any difference.

I too have an 06. The headlights are exactly the same between all years and across coupe and sedan.

Thanks for the verification. I was going to look the part numbers up and compare them.

Did any of the 03-06 OEM housings come black instead of chrome?

none of the OEM lights come black, they are all exactly the same. the JDM inspire lights might though, im not sure. I think you can make the stock headlights look pretty nice with some projectors and black-housing them. you can also get those black depo ebay headlights for pretty cheap and put some real projectors in them

im thinking about doing the same project in my car, something like this:

None of the OEM lights (even Inspire) come black housing. But personally instead of spending a few hundred on a retro and chopping up my stock headlights I would just get the Inspire lights. They are beautiful.

but dont 4get the inspire lights were designed for left lane drive and since they're reflectors HIDs, that will cause big glare

It won't cause BIG glare but it will shine higher on the left side rather than the right side as it should. But it's not anything like the glare produced by just throwing HID lights into the regulare non-HID housing.
