Default removing vinyl decals

i just removed some vinyl decals off my cars paint and it left some tarce residues of the adhesive, and some of the sticker wont come off, like a thin layer of the color is still there. i got most of the residue off with my nails(well, my sisters nails, i made her do it...haha)..but some of it wont come off and just kinda smears around, is there any tricks to this or maybe a product i can use?

goo gone possibly if you trust it on your paint.

i'd use pre-wax cleaner and wax.

goo-gone is good...just re-wax the area after you are done.
