CEL CODE CHECKED: RUNNING RICH, CAN ANYONE HELP TO FIX?????????????
Well, i checked my cel in my 2000 civic si (b16a2). it says my car is running rich which is causing my car to bog and to have rough idle. the main part of the problem is my aem fuel rail next to the fuel pressure regulator, theres a plug for the fuel pressure sensor. and it has 3 metal things inside the plug for it. when i went to check out my ecu, theres a 3 metal plug hanging loose at the top of my ecu. my question is , does this plug from the ecu go to the plug on the fuel rail? i think it does cuz i dont think the ecu is sensing fuel pressure so its causing my car to have bogging and rough idle. Does anyone know if the ecu has a seprerate plug for the fuel pressure??? if this isn't my problem, i think will have to flash the ecu to tell it not to run rich as the next thing to solve my problem. I checked everything else on the engine, all spark plugs and dizzy w/ cap, iat sensor, map sensor, throttle position sensor, o2 sensors are fine (didn't throw a code), all vaccum lines, all fuel lines, timing good, oil was changed, and throttle body was fully cleaned. Besides these, i need help on this fuel pressure sensor thing because it's my main concern. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!
there is no fuel pressure sensor for the ecu, and that outlet your talking about on the fuel rail is probably a 1/8" NPT outlet with a plug in it, that you can use for a gauge, what is the CEL # exactly??
i don't remeber the code but i remember what the code identified as. one of them is bank 1 too rich and something in cylinder one. my cel i reset but it hasnt come back yet . but i def remember it said too rich on the obd scanner.
