So I bought 'brand new' tokico blues off of egay and now they seem to be blown...which is AWESOME!!!!!
So I was wondering what some of you guys suggest I do.
Buy new shocks. Maybe some tokico adjustables or something a little nicer than blues brand new. Or get something like some D2 or Omni coilovers. Which I am not 100% sure if I will be able to afford but I might be able to make it happen.
Suggestions?
I drive alot. I want something that is nice and smooth on the roads and highways. My gf lives an hour and a half away and I have been making the trip weekly...it isnt fun bouncing all over the ****** road when I drive there.

Go Tein. I have some on order from japan right now. Which shocks are broken?
I have an 88 CRX "partscar"with 4 good tokico blue with aero speed coilovers.

well,,why did they blow in the 1st place?? riding your car to low or what?? what springs are on there now?? cause the illuminas will blow just how the blues do if you're to low ...
and if you want a smooth ride you should be focusing on the spring..something with softer rates or even a proggresive rate spring,,and a spring that matches the shock..

My car is pretty low and the Illuminas have held up well. I wouldn't say they are as likely to go as the HPs, the Illuminas are higher quality, and they come with a lifetime warranty. Even if you do break them, you're not going to be paying for more.
Mr. Speaker is right, the smoothness of the ride will be affected more by the spring. Still, adjustable shocks can make a nice difference, I like having the option of changing the settings on the Illuminas. A friend of mine has the Illuminas with the Tokico lowering spring set, the rates are slightly (like 10 pounds) stiffer than stock, with a nice ~1.5-2" drop (Mazda MX6). It's a comfortable ride, but you can definitely feel the difference with the adjustment in the shocks.

My car isnt very low at all. I mean its low, but I still have a ways to go on the ground controls if I really want it lower.
I honestly have no idea why the shocks are like this. I bought the ground controls with eg shocks on them, they came off of an eg, and put them on last year. Obviously it was higher, and those shocks were already blown. So then we got blues for the ef chassis and it does the same thing. I have no idea where to start...it bounces like ****** crazy though. But on flat roads it rides fine.

I've heard mixed reviews on the Blues, I think it has something to do with Tokico making some in Japan and some in China, I remember reading a thread about this a while ago.

What spring rates on the GCs? I am running Koni yellows and GCs 450 up fron and 600 in the back the car is stiff but thats becuase I have it set that way but I like the ride and how it handles...I'd say save up for the konis I also ordered a JK motors traction bar and have some ES bushings to install but I think this is one of the best setups you could have...
blues suck.
did you buy them used off ebay? or new?
you should have bought illuminas. much better quality and lifetime warranty. consider the adjustment gravy.
