H22 Swap: OBD 2 to OBD 1
So I have a 01 Prelude SH OBD 2b engine, transmission and ECU. Im going to be buying a 90 Accord pretty soon. Ive been reading about how all these swaps are going to OBD 1, and changing distrubutor, cap, injectors and other things to make the engine OBD 1. Would it just be easier to stay OBD 2b in the Accord, since I have everything already? Or do I need to get more money and buy a new/old ECU and go from there? Thanks.
The obd2B ecu has an immobilizer, which reads a code from the ignition key, before it will allow the car to start. You will need to bypass that inorder to use the '01 ecu.
If you want to convert to obd1, you only need to swap out the injectors for obd2A or obd1 injectors, because honda changed the size of them in like '99. Up till then, they were all the same size. So if your using an older ecu, you need to use the older injectors.
You can use the '01 distributor, alternator, etc, etc.

So thats the only thing I will need to do? All the wiring for tach and stuff just pin it up to the right thing on the ECU and that will save me a lot of wiring.
Is there anyway I can move the complete mobilizer setup to the Accord?

You would need the whole ignition switch assembly and ignition key from the prelude.
Im not sure what else, since I usually just swap to obd1.
