I was wondering if anybody knew what type of crimps the oem companies like honda and toyota uses. I need to redo some of my wiring, and would like to use these instead of the ghetto 1s you can buy or even soldering. and also where i can get new plug pins at? which crimper is the correct tool for the pins and would it be the same as the crimps they use? i will try to get a pic up of the crimp when i get a chance. thanks
ok, i have pics up of the crimp, t, bridge, whatever you want to call it. sorry they are crappy pictures. i dont have a digi with me, just my phone. but this gives you an idea.

oh and i have a link for weather pak terminal kits, but i doubt these will work for our pins. but are the crimpers the same?

That crip style is called a "W" crimp. Those crimper tools can be found retty cheep at your local swap meet.
Now for the ECU pins to the best of my knowledge the crimp style is a "open barrel"

thanks man. that helps a lot. also, would all the other pins that go into other plugs also be open barrel?
would this work if i just cut off the rings?

i cant seem to find these at all. oh and i have better pics of it.
if anybody knows the technical term it would be very helpful. i found the crimpers but not the crimps.

open barrel and "w" splice are pretty much the same thing. at least every differant one i have ever seen and done looks and crimps the same!
what you are looking for is called a splice. and they are readily available in differant forms; (with or w/o insulation, heat shrink, etc...)
here is the type of tools you should be looking for
http://www.weatherpack.com/pages/900558/index.htm
if all you are looking to do is splice 1 wire into 2 or to extend wires... a normal sealed splice you can pick up at your local radio shack will be more than sufficient. if u plan on doing some more, open barrel splices and some dr-25 is the way to go!
if you want to do really small open barrel terminal like on the honda harness you need to find a crimper with a really small jaw... local radio shack should have a BS "lemo crimper" to help you out.
(if you only need a couple, pm me and ill see what i can do for you. i stock alot of small electrical pins/"accesories.")

i dont like those that i can pick up at most local stores. i hate them. the are too bulky and break a lot if moved a lot. id prefer this type because it is more secure and takes up a lot less space than that and soldering. so i would guess this is a bare splice. thanks.

Here is a pic of what I get from P-R-S.com:

Here are some of the tools I use... for most of the "Terminal Splices" I use the tool that says "SERVICE TOOL I" on the handle. :

I guess I never thought of using stuff like this. I've been just soldering ends together since my R/C car days - wiring 3-4 wires to another gets frustrating. I'd still say add some solder, I've never trusted unsoldered connections.
The DMC crimpers are very nice, my dad borrowed a few pairs from work when i was a kid. Recently i was going through his tools and found them, dad hooked me up with some other nice stuff also
