Default oil loss

I'm wondering if anyone else has this going on with their S2K. I notice that my car uses about a qt of oil every 3kmi. I've searched all over the motor for leaks, there are no drops or leaks on my garage floor or the driveway. The only thing I can think of is that she's burning it, although I've never seen any smoke even on start up. Is this normal or should I have it checked out? Thanks in advance....

if you drive your car moderately hard or hit vtec here and there.. it's normal...... hense the reason you should check your oil after every hard run..

^^

When I run M1 syn, I notice it burns about 1/2 - 1 qt every oil change (3k miles). I have run Castrol before (not on the S, but ITR), and noticed it didn't lose any at all.

I'm currently running 10w30 royal purple. Should I run Castrol or something else?

i use to use Mobil1 Syn as well. I noticed that **** would burn off about 1/2 qt modereatly. I use the Mobil 10w-30 regular now (regular Honda oil) and its a little better.

if you see smoke during start up you have problems... unless you spill it during an oil fill then it will burn off the hot parts it touches, other then that you would really need to pray for a warranty.

since they havent created a 100% efficient engine yet, youre gonna burn off some hot fluids.
