Well, my car has been finished, the swap is in. gsr with itr pistons, new rings, fresh hone, new bearings, stock gsr head. and it has been throwing this one code. Code #14, i believe it had something to do with the icav or something like that. I was wondering if it would be safe to drive the car with it on for a couple days, traveling about 40 miles each day. The car runs pretty good but when i let off the throttle it just sorta bogs. my friend already tried everything to his knowledge to try to fix it, and he knows a lot more than me, so imma just wait to the weekend to take it to a shop.

youll be fine driving it like dat for awhile, honda is notorious with the IACV issues. you can try to clean it up or replace it. the only thing you may notice is a loss in gas mileage, depending if the IACV is stuck.

Pretty simple to clean...Two bolts on the back of the intake mani , Two coolant lines then its off. There is a screen on the left you will see it , they have a habit of getting clogged . Use alittle carb cleaner to clean it off and then put it back on.
Good luck
Good luck
its fine.. but not good...
you sure thats the only code your throwing? because theres quit a few sensors in that area that plug into one another... so for instance you could have the IACV plug plugged into the IAT or another sensor in that area... make sure that the plug coming outta the IACV has a yellow/black wire (positive) in it. if not... find the plug that does and plug that to the IACV. the IAT sensor should have the plug with a red/yellow wire.
(if this is the case, disconnect the neg. battery terminal for 3mins to reset your ecu and then check to see if you still have a CEL.) if not, replace your IACV.
but first try what my boy Andy (50SaysHeEatsIt) said, clean the screen.
good luck, hope that helped

Unless you made a custom wire harness, there are only two plugs you can switch by mistake, and that the MAP and TPS sensors... and the car would run like *** if you did that.
Solid CEL = bad sensor, car will run ok until you fix it.
Flashing CEL = your lucky the car is still moving. Find a place to stop, now.

u can pop can it....just get a coke can etc. and make a gasket with it blocking the iac off make sure u make holes in it for the bolts to go through this works but may idle a little low car will not high idle in open loop though

every EG i had, had a few two pin plugs that where interchangable on the back of the IM.
i can remember i went thru hell to figure them out after swaping my first motor. Im almost positive the IAT and the IACV are like that. also the little plug coming outta the IM itself.

it looks like your iacv needs a bath..
if you by mistake were to swap connectors with some other sensor, you would be throwing more than 1 code...
