can anybody tell me if Koni's for the 89-91 civic have a hiegth adjustable spring perch in the REAR? if so, in what incriments can the perch be lowered?

Yes, there are five settings, and each notch is like a centimeter or two I'm not sure, I'll go look at it when I get home

 

i'm looking for one half to one inch more of a drop in the rear. so i could achieve that with Koni's???

Not 5 notches but 3. Standard, Higher and lower. They are approx 1" apart..

For coil overs, I have mine all the way on top... When I had the standard springs on, were in the middle. Using the stock springs, you can set the rears on the bottom perch and will lower car approx 1" and retain the factory ride quality.

are the SPORTs yellow or red???

 

Sports are yellow.

There are 2 different kind of Koni's the ones that can be adjusted with the strut installed, and the ones that require removal of the strut for adjustment...

I beleive the "remove and install" ones have more height adjustments...

The sports or "yellows" are they are more commonly know as, have only 3 settings (at least the current production off the shelf units do) single adjustables..

 

i agree, my yellow "sport" konis are externally rebound adjustable, and have 3 notches for height adjustment for BOTH front and rear.

so if i'm looking for half an inch of a drop, then i should get the RED non-external adjusting ones, they have more options???
