save your money and buy an ACT its a piece you will use a million times a day you dont want to "penny pinch" on that .. stage 2 for normal use stage 3 if your going to put a turbo on soon .. they dont come in "stages" so ask which would be the equal to them ..

so act is good? whats wrong with the exedy from clutchcityonline.com for like 279.00 shipped is that ****! I really dont know what to pick everyone says diff stuff I dont know what to do im running a 55 shot of nitrous keep that in mind the nitrous is the reason im getting a new clutch!

i have an exedy now and i dont like it what so ever i wish i could have recorded the sound my cluctch petal made when it was breaking in . and now its feels sticky and hard to depress but every one that ive head said buy ACT so im assuming that they are the HEAT 99% of shops ive talked to about mine said to pull it and replace it with an ACT so .. go figure

what kinda clutch did you get and how much was it! another question what do i tell them when they ask what kinda engine i have i just told them a 1.6 ltr ZC does it matter as long as i have the year down as a 91 that is something that i dont get are they the same as long as its a 1.6 ??

i am also currently seeking a clutch for my ls/vtec project, i was gonna go with exedy, but now i'm having my doubts. shawnd, could you elaborate on your setup...does your clutch hold the power? did you break it in properly? the more i think about it the more act sounds like the best route. i did however email clutchspecialties so we'll see what they say. what other mods were on you b16a? what size nitrous shot? sorry for all the questions but i don't wanna have to fork out the cash for a clutch choice mistake. thanks guys.

Whatever you do , don't get a Clutchmasters, they suck and I speak from personal experience. Go with an ACT, I got an ACT in my Teg and CRX and I love them both!

I've had both an ACT and clutchmasters and I can say that neither of them suck. Either one would be a good choice.

 

is that your red hatch on the site? if it is its nice but on the spec list it says you have a act? how long have you had your exedy? just curious as to how its holding up...thanks man, props on the site....good sh*t.

 

ok first off.your clutch will be selected according to what tranny you are using.for example if you are running a 90 si tranny,you get a 90 si clutch.anyways if your still interested in getting a clutchmasters,i know someone who gets there stuff for 16% off the retail price.i got mine from him and he has great service.here is his email.webmaster3@vsracingparts.com

Don't get clutchmasters- total trash- go exedy or ACT. Here's a pic of Clutchmasters- notice how the center hub moves around and the springs are practically falling out - this was on a stock delsol vtec- the guy probably couldn't drive

also dont order directly from the manu, they are 10x as expensive, i order a clutch through clutchmasters were i could have gotten a stage 3 for the price of what they sold a stage 1 for...total bullshit...

 

ACT!!! thats what i have and i LIKE IT

 

I have the Exedy in my CRX- it hooks up real nice and is the same disc that ACT is using- only downside is the hard *** pedal- man it can be a bitch to get used to- The Exedy uses 2 diaphragm springs which makes for a mean pedal- supposedly the ACT uses a different fulcrum position of the diaphragm fingers which makes for a nicer pedal. I got my Exedy from clutchcityonline.com- it came in 2 days! Great pricing.

 

ACT sucks? Oh hayll naw! Everything else except ACT is garbage.
