overheating

Default overheating

my gf's car overheats when she drives it after like 30 minutes.. the temp gauge goes all the way up.. i did my search and maybe it sounds like it needs a new thermostat?? cuz there is no steam or smoke coming out anywhere

could be , Thermostat, water pump, radiator cap, radiator, headgasket.

start with a thermostat. They are cheap. If its something else you will know, most cases, its the Tstat that fails. GET OEM HONDA THERMOSTAT ONLY. Do not cheap out on autozone Tstat, they dont always work and you must have the right temp one.

check in the sponsors part of HT. Sometime a dealer will sell parts at employee pricing or something. OEM parts are always gonna be at the stealership, for the record.

I wouldn't drive it while it's overheating. You could warp the head, blow a head gasket (provided it's not already blown and causing the overheating), or cause some other serious damage.

Have you checked the coolant level? Is the car loosing coolant?
