Default Pinks again.. raffling cars off for charity

If anyone watches speed channel you might have seen the previews for our 2ndrace (Hasport/Full-Race) which is going to be aired soon. I drove a red crx with a turbo-GSR in it.
The setup is:
100% stock GSR bottom end, and a b16 head with springs/retainers
FullRace stage 1 kit
Exedy Twin discclutch
DSS stage 5axles
ITR cams
5 point roll cage + harness
Hondata S300
1000cc injectors
Walbro 255 high pressure pump
TurboXS 4Stage Boost controller
BRAND NEW ITR trans w/ LSD (courtesy of HondaofAmerica)
25" MT slicks
13" Lensos
Progress Susp

...and a bunch of other things i am forgetting.

Long story short, this is a great opportunity to get a good deal on a car and help out charity. Both cars (the one we raced, and the one we raced against) will be auctioned off. All proceeds will go to charity. 33% will go to Hurricane Katrina Victims, 66% will go to the American Diabetes Association.

The raffle is being handled by the VW guys we raced against(www.LoCashRacing.Org) and they will have honda raffle tickets there shortly. Currently, you can buy VW raffle tickets at there using, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, etc. They are going to modify the online shopping cart to include Honda tickets as well as VW. This way we can list a link at Honda-Tech and those guys can go right there and buy tickets.

Mods, i know this doesnt exactly belong here but we are trying to help some charities out, so if this could stay that would be great. thanks

Good stuff

But IMO only, I think 66% should go to Hurricane Katrina victims

I disagree, but being a type1 diabetic i see things from a different point of view. I really dont think that people understand how much diabetes affects your everyday life. The ADA is doing great things in helping people with daibetes

Hurricane Katrina was a tragedy dont get me wrong. I really feel for all the people that have been affected by it. I have alot of family down there, one was a firefighter that helped rescue survivors for 7 straight days with less than 12hrs of sleep. But if you think of this on a large scale it makes more sense the way they are doing it. Hundreds of thousnds of people were affected by katrina. But over 11mil people in the US struggle with/die because of diabetes every year. There is a serious lack of knowledge when it comes to diabetes, and things like Full-Race is doing will only help get more knowledge of the disease.

This gives me more respect for FR than anything they could make for my car. Helping others is becoming a rare things these days...im just glad to see that its not completely lost to everyone

Lets not make it a discussion on which charity it should go to. THe FR, Hasport, VW, and Locash crew have their reasons for choosing which charities to help out.

Good luck on the raffle and for turning something like this into a positive thing for others.

That's why I only said it was my opinion but nonetheless its going to a good cause so it doesnt matter where it goes.

Agreed! I wasnt trying to make an arguement just voicing my opinion. I guess i got excited when i saw the charity that it was going too

This is an excellent idea. I would love to have any of the cars up for raffle. Good luck to everyone

Awesome work from both teams for a great cause.

I shouldn't have read the outcome on the locash site though

If the volkswagen guys are raffling off the Honda then that should tell you that they won. Great news about the raffle, good to hear that everyone involved is trying to help out others.
