Default Oh man.. This is a REALLY stupid problem :S 96 EX

My wife just pointed out to me yesterday that the windows will roll up/down with no key in the ignition... Can't say that I've ever had this problem b4.

Any idea's?

Nothing has changed recently in the car except me pulling the amp I had in it.. thats it.

where did you have the amp wired?
Chect to see if you have power at fuse #1 in the under dash fuse box with the key out. (or pull it to see if the problem quits). Thats a fork in the road so what you find with that will tell us what road to go down
Good luck.

The windows will roll up with the keys out of the ignition right after shutting the car off, unless you open one of the doors.

Scenerio in case I made no sense: pull up, shut the car off and pull the key out, roll windows up or down and close sun roof, open door, no longer work.

Based on your description I never even gave the timer feature a thought. But if that's the case then speedfreak is right

The windows will go up and down until you open the door, but not the moonroof. The key has to be turned on for the moonroof to work. Just in case you have one.

Your right guys, at least on the 7th gen. My moonroof does work until I open the door. I thought it didn't, learn something new every day.

You're not supposed to be able to take the key out while the car is still running, your ignition lock cylinder is broken.

I always thought that was a cool feature. Probably because people (myself included) don't really think about rolling their windows up before they shut the car off. Then you have to stick the keys back in the ignition and restart the power. Comes in handy sometimes.
