Picked up some parts from Password the other day.

Notice the chrome filler in red box? (
Green arrow is reg. filler)I wonder if this front is from a 4dr or not...the vin tag says EF2..

PW knowledge says its hatch..but still have had trouble depicting, exactly wat EF2 and EF3 are..hatch or sedan..

Any info is appreciated, TIA

I was told that the ef3 is the JDM ZC (hatch) but I cant be sure.

 

You know what I think thats a 4 door. There would be no need for that filler on any year hatch. I am almost positive that its a 4 door nose. I have never ever seen that type of filler on a hatch.

 

there are two models for the ef2 the sedan and the ef2 hatch.

So is that a sedan or a hatch nose. I have never seen that type of filler on any year hatch?

 

from what i have seen i would say its from a sedan.

yeah i waould say it a four door mine had one until it got destroyed when i was hit so i dont have one anymore...

 

yea i am pretty sure that does go to a sedan.

 

Nicks jdm style ef9 is right. That's a four door front. The hatches don't come with those fillers. And how is that any different from a 88 si front end except for the stock stanley clears and plastic headlights with no nipples?

nothing to my knowledge..coulda just bought the headlights and corners if u wanted..

 

I have an sedan its an ef2
but that front looks like my canadian hatch i will have to look at that filler.

 

Only sedans used that filler piece, so I would say it's an '88-89 sedan front. Check for "SH4" markings to be sure.

 

I already have headlights, I got the front for hella cheap..I was gona slang the headlights, I need the corners if they fit, bottom turn signals, bumper cover w/ lip. and i got all those spare parts.

We'll see if it fits my hatch

It is a sedan front because it is marked "SH4" in one of the pictures.

And hatchbacks did not have the piece that is indicated by the red box.

 

100% sedan power, right there.

 

YUP well Im pretty certain the front is for a sedan, eventhough from the pics, the bumper doesnt look too far off. Let me know what you think.

The corner lights are too long to be for a hatchback, they have to be for 88-89 EF sedan. The headlights fit. I have a pair of genuine EF7/EF3 headlights and it turned out they are the exact same part # as the ones that came on this EF2 front.







The front bumper cover aswell seemed to almost fit w/ the usdm bumper support and seemed to be just a lil too long.

Tried it w/ the jdm bumper support and it stuck out a few more inches in front of the frame. The red boxes show where the lip holes should regulary be underneath the frame to screw in.

Got the jdm bumper support to fit like the front, in order to do so, you have to remove usdm bumper support brackets which are held in by 3-4 12mm bolts(In red box). Now I just need to find washers to fit behind the 10mm screws in order to bolt it up, I used to zip ties for reference.
