Default Thermal muffler...anybody has experience with it?

I'm getting this muffler tommorow from a local seller



not the whole catback just the muffler,i already have a full piping.Anyways anybody here has it?i've been looking for a discreet aftermarket muffler that wont attract the cops


anybody has any sound clips?pics?

I've heard one and the tone is very mellow. It's not too loud either. If you really want to be discrete, then you should paint the muffler flat black

itll probably be a little loud on the D....A buddy of mine had that system on his em1 and it sounded great though

bump for pics and sound clips


I just got it today,inlet is 2 1/4" but tip is 3 3/4" what do you guys think?is it too big and cop will notice it?

woops didnt see this last night.

I dont think it will be as loud as the n1....It should sound clean, just bolt it up and test it out, if you don't like it, then resell it, if you dig it, then rock it

the tip isnt big on the "Classic" at all....you did get the Classic right? theres more than one style of Thermal Exhaust....But the one pictured is the Classic, and isnt big at all, tucks in nice too

Yep, it's just the axelback exhaust.
The D17 has pathetic response to bolt ons so I didn't want to pay for a full catback if I was going to get diddly-squat power gains. It's mainly for looks and mellow sound.
