84,700 miles on my 01 ITR
Like the heading says, I have that much on that year ITR. My question is, I am coming up on my 90k service. I have NOT replaced my SPARK plugs on my engine. But I have done everything else on it. Valves adjusted etc.
Should I wait til 90k to replace the SPARK plugs and re adjust my valves, or is it ok to replace the SPARK plugs now, and readjust the valves at 90k?

Wow I change mine every 10,000 or so and I have iridium plugs.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The replacement interval recommended in the owner's manual and service manual is 60,000 miles or 6 years, whichever comes first. (That's for the ITR and GS-R, which have platinum stock plugs; the recommendation for the other Integra versions, with non-platinum plugs, is every 30K miles or 2 years, whichever comes first.)

Yea I always figured I changed them pretty early like my oil (1800-2000 miles), but I figured going past 60,000 without a change would yeild a noticable difference (i.e just starting the car).

even if you take it easy on your car, keep it stock.. you will still benefit from changing spark plugs every 15k miles. maybe 30k for platinum.. - i used to change mine every 15k..
now i do it every oil change..

Hopefully not with irridium plugs....thatd be Pricey $$$!
And if not, then why not spend the money on ones that will outlast stock versions and "supposably" increase response?

My car is pretty much stock and I have taken care of it for the most part. I just realized the spark plugs have never been changed. For some reason, I thought you change them suckers at 100,000 but I wil change them as soon as possible. Still runs good, AC blows cold air especially in this humid Florida weather, but the torque is just not there lol.
Iridium plugs are good for up to 110k miles, I wouldnt really reccomend you run them for that long, but I check mine with every oil change just to make sure everything looks okay.
