B18A/B cranks and rod interchangability
Does anyone know for sure if these cranks are interchangable. I lent out my mic and can't measure properly right now....
motors
92 Canadian (USDM) B18A
94 JDM B18B (not that I think that JDM makes a difference)
The crank is fluxored in the B18B as well as one of the rods. Just want to know if anyone knows off the top of their head if they are swappable.
Cheers, J

THey are interchangeable. Same Stroke, and bearing sizes.
The thing you should be concerned are the bearing sizes. When you are putting in a different crank in a block where its not the original crank, you are changing the original clearances and you can't follow the old specs.
Make sure you remeasure with a mic or plastigauge to make sure. Just because it drops right in(dont drop it, put it in slowly. hehe), doesnt mean its going to be good to go of the bat. Might end up tigher or looser than your previous crank.
