People have different taste, the car is very slow so why not just pimp it around?

anything over 18" IMO on a Honda is overkill. Plus youll run into rubbing issues, have to roll the fenders, plus itll look like a monster truck, show off the civics already dinky looking brakes, and pose many other problems.

Heres a link to a thread I started in the em2 forums with a photochop pic of an EM2 with ridiculously large rims. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1624441&page=1

Now, yes i know its not the same as the FG, but itll look similar to that.

Goofy looking??? I think so. But thats just one mans opinion

To each his own. You want to roll 20s, then go for it.

You can use this to figure the offset, but you'll still have to worry about rubbing inside and out.

I think the stock Si wheels are 7s, with a 45, so you're probably pretty close.

Im not knocking it, by all means, if you want 20's go for it. But you know how you get that feeling of that looks ridiculous...
thats what youll get.

But do it though, i wanna see what it truly looks like.

It won't get 40mpg when you strap 50lb wheels at each corner.

If your dead set on 20's Nitto makes a 35 series for a Compact with 20's. But like everyone else said, they will still rub, speedo will be off, way too much unsprung weight, and they just plain look funny on a Civic.

I checked out the link to the FG1 with 20"s and I'm lost for words. Compact car with tires that don't even come stock on an Impala? WTF? I mean, sure, to each their own and if that's what rocks your world than go for it, but be prepared for the reactions you're gonna get.

Then don't drive a Civic if you want bling.

To the guys giving him practical reasons not to get 20's for the civic
(- Rubbing issues
- speedometer issues
- lower fuel economy )

Good job.

To everyone else, you all are a bunch of useless, biased, bandwagoning flamers.

The guy asked a technical question :
"Will 20'' wheels fit FG civic?
Will 20''x7.5'' 45mm offset wheels fit?"

If you have an answer, give an answer, if you don't, there's no need to post irrelevant replies that give no assistance or add any valuable information to the archive.

It is his car, he may do as he wish with the car, regardless of what you guys say.

Not everybody wants to buy rotas, or real volks, or real spoon wheels, or small 15-16'' wheels for their civic. Not everybody will, and you can't change it.

I'm not telling you guys, "If you don't have any thing nice to say, don't say nothing"

I'm telling you, "If you don't have anything valuable or informative to say, don't say anything".

And, in my opinion and taste, I think 20'' wheels would not look good on a civic, but I'm not here posting about it, I would rather help the man out and give him an answer to his question than ridicule his prerogative and taste in wheel selection.

So, how exactly did you help, besides being Captain-Save-A-Noob?

You, as well as the other posters on here, posted nothing that 'would rather help the man out and give him an answer to his question than ridicule his prerogative and taste in wheel selection'.

You, sir, are a hypocrite.

Just because I can't help the man out with his primary issue of wheel fitment (since I don't know if they will fit for sure or not), does not make me a hypocrite.
I'm following my intention to avoid ridiculing him if I can't help him with his question.

I said, I would RATHER help the guy out and give him an answer than ridicule him.

I meant to say, "rather help the guy out -instead of- ridiculing him", but hey, it's late and i made a grammar boo boo. boo hoo.

But hey, I guess you can really call me a hypocrite now, since I'm posting in argument to someone, for something that has no relation to the topic of this thread, instead of posting something valuable and informative.

So why don't you give yourself a good pat on the back for pointing out hypocracy (not that you did.
because, if i was a hypocrite, i would have posted a flammatory remark and ridiculed him, which is what i do my best to avoid on here)

Here's something useful to consider: The stock wheel bearings are not designed to handle the weight of 20" wheels and tires. When they fail early (and they will), your local dealer will probably refuse to cover the repair under warranty, and rightfully so. In fact, they'll probably be leery about doing any suspension work on your car.
