Default Clifford Alarm Stoped Working...

Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 w/ remote start.

Okay, so my first remote broke. I bought a new one re-programmed it, all was good. Then the remote started saying it sent the signal but no response from the brain. So I figured the remote was bad, tried to do the procedure to repogram it, but the siren never sounded when it was supoused to. So now I know its the alarm not remote, I checked all fuses they seem to be fine.

Anyone expierence anything like this? I am about ready to pay a shop to fix it, but I don't want it to be something I am overlooking.

Did you install it yourself or did an authorized Clifford dealer put it in?

I didn't install it. A local shop did (fuzion auto). I am not sure if they are authorized or not.

I have a 2.5x. I kind of had the same problem, I bought one new remote and reprogrammed it, then the new one all of sudden would not send signals. So I tried to reprogram it again the actual alarm will chirp and the remote but they will not connect, I dont know what the problem is, sorry I cant help but I know what youre talking about.

Thats kind of the opposite of my problem. The remote sends, the brain never responds. I tried reporgramming it, and the siren does chirp after holding the valet/pushing it once.

A lot of times those two way paging remotes suck like that. Try getting a non paging remote and program it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> didn't install it. A local shop did (fuzion auto). </TD></TR></TABLE>

Then take it back and have them troubleshoot. DEI products have lifetime warranties.

You don't understand. The remote is fine, the brain is the problem.

As far as I know fuzion is not a authorized dealer, how do I find them in my area?

Also, they installed it about a year ago.

How do you know that the Receive portion of the remote hasn't failed? It's not likely, but it is possible.

BTW, not trying to be a dick here, (really, Im' not), but why don't you just make a 30 second phone call to the place that installed it instead of dicking around on honda-tech for four hours trying to find an answer???

I know this because when you press the valet switch once, then press again and hold it the siren should chirp, but it doesn't.

And my car is currently getting other work done for the next week or so, so I don't want to call and them say bring it over or something. I don't really want to put any money into fixing it if I don't have to, so I was looking for some simple solutions here.

That was a valid question, and wouldn't have taken it as you being a dick BTW.
