6x9 speakers in accord 94
Actually it's 6 1/2's in the back. The hole looks like it could fit a 6x9 but the speaker is drilled into a steel plate or something that you'll have to cut and modify to get a 6x9 in there. Unless anyone else knows another way.
My bad, my rear speaker area is hacked to **** so there is no designated spot for the speakers and I was running 6 X 9's that fit really well. I thought that they were meant to go there.

I've had 2 accords and neither has had 6x9's in the back, nor has my uncles or my friend that just bought his. I think it has a lot to do with that plate thats in the back. But the circuit city and best buy sites, and the BB stereo install guy (who happens to be my friend with the accord) said that factory set up was 6-1/2's.
i believe lx's had 6.5" in the front and back and the ex's had 5-1/4's in the doors and 6x9's in the back, although i could be mistaken
although either way, 6x9's can be modified to fit in the back, i believe theres just a steel plate that adapts to either the 6.5" or to the 6x9's

Whats the name of that steel plate. I ones tryed to cut out bigger hole in that plate so i can fit 6x9 speaker but i messed up. I dont know were to get another steel plate or the one thats already been modifyed for 6x9
you dont need steel plates. cutting wood would be much easier and cheaper possibly. easiest way to find out if you have 6x9's in the rear is to just take off the speaker cover.
My 96 accord came with 6×9s factory. I've also installed 2 other sets of 6×9s since I've owned it(pioneer and boss if it helps).

My 96 (JDM) is 6x9's in the back and 6" or 6.5" in front.
For the rears I've been running Infinity Reference 6x9's for about 13 years and have nothing but praise for them.
Fronts I run some kicker 6" but always wanted to switch to Polk or Infinity.
