Default b16 question

Working on a B16a1 swap into a dx crx, I have searched head to toe and i cannot find out why you need aftermarket mounts, why do you need them? And is there any possible to get around them? Also i need some help with the wiring from a dx to a b16 when wiring the injection

ya u need after market mounts because plain and simple the mounts wont mount up. hahhahaha yea and u need to cut the cross member or maybe get an after market one for those. its kinda a pain swap cuz of the fabrications. as far as wireing. i suck at it. just get a b16 harness. LMAO! good luck

you got it...the sir was designed different,,when you pop the hood of one it looks just like a 90-93 integra engine bay how its setup..

im pretty sure only one mounts lines up,,being the passenger side..thats how it is with 90-93 integra mounts atleast..and the others dont..im sure you can cut and reweld the mounts to work ,,if you're good with fabrication go for it..

with the wiring you'll need to convert your stock harness to mpfi look here http://crf50.no-ip.com/fourthgenhatch/mpfi.html and then add the wires for vtec ,,look at this diagram http://texas.clubsi.com/brandon/swap/swap_12.jpg
