need help installing OEM CD player in my 98 civic...
my head unit got jacked AGAIN, so i decided to install my OEM radio and just bought a used OEM cd player. i thought i could just pull the cd slot out and install the cd player, but it doesn't come out. are there screws and parts i have to remove to install the cd player? TIA.
i don't have a digi cam right now, but if you look on the back, each end of the slot is connected to a metal tab. i unscrewed all of the screws i can see, but it still doesn't come out!

You have to remove the center console to access the screw to remove the pocket.
Step one remove shift ****
Step two remove all screws on sides of center console
Step three slide console back and up
At this point you will see the zinc colored screw above the cupholder that hold the pocket in there are 4 screws.
From there its cake. The real bitch is getting the plug routed up to the head unit. My cable seemed a little short

You have to bend back the prongs then it slides out. It happened to my friends hatch. That thing was a bitch in itself
The metal pieces were sticking out, that's why it won't slide out.
